About this project

“] Project Dates: September 2016 – August 2017

Details: Woodland Caribou are facing serious threats, like habitat loss in the boreal forest. Through the help of kids just like you, Earth Rangers and the Pembina Institute are working hard to protect Woodland Caribou. The donations raised for this Bring Back the Wild project are helping to:

  • Work with conservation groups and First Nations communities to identify priority conservation areas
  • Support the Government of Alberta in their commitment to protecting almost 20% of the province’s land and freshwater habitats

Protecting the boreal forest is important for Woodland Caribou populations that require undisturbed, mature forests to survive.
